How I built my entire vacation wardrobe around Swimwear

I recently traveled. My dream came true and I got to visit the most beautiful part of Italy – Amalfi coast. Days of research on what to see, where to eat and more importantly, beaches to swim at and I got an excellent idea on what my vacation wardrobe was going to be like. I decided to build it around my swimsuit collection.

There is no better bikinis to take for your trip to Amalfi coast than the ones that were designed with European summer inspiration in mind, and that is why I set my eye on Salamander Bikinis. The fact that it is an eco-friendly brand that makes its swimwear from recycled fabric was the final touch that made up my mind. And there I was, with the super light luggage of versatile swimwear that mixes so very well with my other summer fashion statements.

Firstly, I chose the Salamander Positano Bustier that actually looks like pretty much a corsage long line underwire top with the nod to the Italian sex symbol’s style aka Sofia Loren. I worn a silky color-matching skirt with it while visiting island Capri and absolutely loved it. My bikini top became very handy when I reached Marina Piccola beach and couldn’t just passed by. The water was so clear with the line of signature  luxurious yachts near by, made me feel that I would miss out if I leave without tasting the waters.

Let me tell you that Tyrrhenian Sea is crystal clear and even though it was already October still warm of the temperature for swimming. There are mostly pebble beaches on Amalfi coast and some, like the one I went to in Sorrento, you must enter off the cliffs but my Salamander Bikini Amalfi top magically stayed put. I paired it with cheeky Salamander Strap Bottom for the best tan, because it was just the begging of my trip.

I loved little town sweet charm of Sorrento with its picturesque views and smell of the lemons. Not to mention that cute gift shops in the center of Piazza Tasso are full with summer outfits with this yellow citrus fruit pattern. I wondered around wearing Salamander Bikini Athens One-Piece that I combined with front buttons linen skirt. What a great combo! I also wished I got it in Greek Olives print as well for a perfect blending in. Can’t also deny the original appeal of the print that something else but lemons, yet totally vacation destination appropriate. That is another thing about Salamander Bikinis, that keeps their swim pieces very limited, so you don’t come across your outfit clone.

When I reached Positano, I felt an absolutely different fashion sense. It was a time to try on my Salamander Bikini High-Waisted Bottom. I must say I fall in love right the way! Having to wear high-waisted bathers for the first time in my life, I just adored the hugging feeling of the softest swim fabric ever! I also decided to experiment with colors and worn it with Salamander Bikini Triangle Top in the different solid color. The coordinating shades of Salamander Bikini collection mix-and-match very well so my yellow-orange triangle bikini top matched perfectly to indigo blue swimmers. I spent the perfect beach day in Fornillo, Positano, enjoying the luxury of privacy on almost deserted at this time a year beach (all the kids are back to school by then), so there were no need to reserve a spot at one of those Insta-famous beach clubs with stripe orange sun umbrellas.

During my vacation I actually preferred to sunbathe on the cliff. The stones soak up all the sun during the day, and I couldn’t believe how comfortable they feel. I put on my statement Salamander Bikini “Salamander” One-piece to look absolutely stunning on this pedestal.

By the time I arrive to Praiano – the final point of my European holidays – I could’ve boast proudly about my glorious tan. At that point Salamander Bikini Bamba Bottom served me best, because I could flip it for less or more coverage on the front or bottom depending on my mood. I stayed at the ocean front hotel right on Marina di Praia with the little beach between the cliffs and it was an exquisite setting. I’ve always pictured Amalfi coast just like that: sitting on the balcony of my room overlooking the sunset with the rumble of soft waves and the taste of local wine – the perfect ending of the perfect trip!
