Build a Boo Workshop

Don’t you wish sometimes that you could build your own bae?… I mean wishful thinking of course, but it reminds me of that psychological technique when you create a dreamboard of what you want your future to look like and sort of program your subconscious to that image. Why not do the same for your future man? So, lets play!

As I decided to give up my sweet solitude only for the one who will make my life even more enjoyable, I will set up the highest standards. And as the biggest secret of life is that we actually always get what we want, therefore don’t be shy to ask for the best because in the end the result you get will blow your mind. Of course, your future must be earned, but isn’t why we are here working on ourselves constantly?

Here it is: I want my man to be a Superman. Literately. Oh, hello Henry Cavill!

I must admit I always had a weakness for a man in the suit, or in the uniform, or for a real man… You name it, but there is nothing more appealing than neat, well groomed appearance in the mix with mature personality of a man who overcomes his weaknesses. Think of someone with a very dark soul, who chooses to be good every day! Public clowns and all-over-tattoos bad boys will never give a woman that sense of security that the calm, confident man can provide. And the classic gentlemen style definitely resembles that.

Let’s start with a suit for it’s a core. The main key is that it needs to be tailored. Make an appointment at www.manolocosta.com where a Hollywood Matinee Idol meets Modern Gentleman, to get your own experience to get that sharp fitted suit look without overdoing it.

Now we need some high quality shirts to go with our suit. You can customize your own shirt style at www.propercloth.com or visit Turnbull & Asser royal shirtmakers who manufacture in England, the country of James Bond 007.

And since we’re at it, I’m sure mister Bond wouldn’t mind if we steal some of his fashion statement pieces like this classy turtleneck by N Peal Cashmere, Est. 1936, the beautiful knitwear brand beloved by so many for so long.

As I’m going down on my future man image, I’ve got to make sure he is wearing Vivek Nagrani socks from the by-appointment Nolita store, an insider favorite among former presidents. (George W. Bush and Bill Clinton are clients.) They keep their products limited, made in either Italy or Peru, and individually numbered.

When it comes to shoes dressing, take a look at the hand-made items by Saint Crispin’s or my personal favorite woolen loafers (the Cabrales) by Industry of All Nations.

This is so far a key wardrobe pieces of my dream man that every self-respected man should own. And don’t even get me started on the men’s accessories yet. Because it is a subject for another article.
